Julia Ayearst (she/her)
IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist (1000hr)
Toronto, Ontario

I teach Yoga: an ancient spiritual practice originating from modern-day India. I recognize that Yoga encompasses a philosophy and way of life beyond just physical postures, and I strive to embody it fully and represent it authentically. With humility, I continue to learn and grow in my understanding of these sacred practices, integrating holistic healing into my approach.
The land where I practice today is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Tkaronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, as well as the Williams Treaty signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
I am committed to addressing unconscious bias in my teaching of personalized yoga therapy. I hope to strengthen my moral imagination through my own yoga practice, harnessing personal growth for collective healing.
